Eike Andreas Letzgus is a concert pianist as well as a piano teacher in Rostock and Stralsund.

Born in Bielefeld, Germany, he received his first piano lessons at the age of ten.

Eike Andreas Letzgus was born in Bielefeld, Germany and received his first piano lessons at the age of ten. Among the various music teachers he has had, pianist Irmhild Mundkur and flautist John Hays have had the greatest influence on his musical development. As a pianist, he has received various awards in regional competitions and numerous first prizes in the ”Jugend Musiziert” national competitions in Germany.

He has played with several youth orchestras and chamber music ensembles, and has taken part as pianist in numerous recordings with the Landesjugendorchester Nordrhein-Westfalen. Besides giving concerts in his home country, he has also performed in many countries abroad, among them, Poland in 2005, Lisbon (Portugal) in 2006, and Miyazaki (Japan) in 2012.

Eike Andreas Letzgus studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock with Professors Karl-Heinz Will, Stephan Imorde und Matthias Kirschnereit

Masterclasses with Bernd Glemser, Pavel Gililov, Andreas Groethuysen, Markus Groh, Michael Luig, Norman Shetler, Renate Kretschmar-Fischer, and Elisabeth Leonskaja have also inspired him as a soloist and as a chamber musician.

Eike Andreas Letzgus received his diploma for music pedagogy in 2012 and his diploma for piano performance in 2013 from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock.
